   We were seated on the patio which was unevenly heated and "featured " a large television. The tables were a little too small. The food and the service were excellent. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Three of us ordered the salmon, which was delicious and one of us ordered the duck, which they really enjoyed. We will definitely be back.

   We sat in the brasserie. It was overly crowded. The meal was poorly managed. Food was not timed properly and we had to ask multiple times where things were. Waiter had no knowledge of the food. Very small portions as if for a child. The room for the brasserie was so tight that every time a wait staff went by they bumped my chair which is incredibly annoying when it happens 100 times. I hope that the fine dining side is better because this is NOT the Edwin’s I remember.

   Food was tasty, service was outstanding. A little disappointed since I mentioned it was our 30th wedding anniversary when we made the reservation. No recognition of this at all. Live band was a nice addition.

   I apologize for having to send this review. It is the last thing I want to , or ever thought I would have to, do regarding an Edwins Restaurant. We have been to his establishment on Shaker Square many times and always been very happy. Everything about that establishment was always excellent. However, last nights experience at the new Edwins in Cleveland Hts. was absolutely TERRIBLE... totally out of character. The only two positive aspects in all of last night were the valet that took my car and the bread server that was very kind and attentive (if not for him we would have had nothing to eat all night). We were seated at a table directly under an A/C vent and had the cold air blowing directly on us all night. We sat at that table a full 45 minutes before a server came to take our drink order. When we received our drinks we immediately ordered, our meal out of fear we would never eat. From the moment we ordered until I finally had enough abuse, we sat for another hour with nothing but our drinks and 2 slices of bread. Finally, after suffering that punishment for a full 2 hours I called someone over, requested a bill for our drinks, paid the bill and left. NOTE: at no time during or after I paid the bill did anyone (server, or manager) offer any assistance, an explanation or apology for the horrendous experience. They just let us leave as if we had never been there at all. I don't know what broke when they moved to this new location but they need to find it and fix it before Edwins is no more. I must say I will never return.

   We were seated in a spot so small the two men in our group blocked the aisle. Not the fine dining atmosphere we expected. Food was great however Service was slow but nice servers. Valet parking only Doubtful to return

   Calamari starter was cold, dry and hard to chew. Mains of Salmon and Shrimp Scampi Linguini were excellent.

   I loved Edwin’s at Shaker and support the bakery and butcher when in the area. But the Cleveland Hts location has some kinks to work out. We had reservations for an early dinner in the brassiere . We were seated near what must have been a previous door opening that was covered by a curtain but cold air was blowing in. We asked three different staff members if we could move to other empty tables , it was about 2/3 full so there were plenty of them. It took a half hour before we finally did get moved and as we sat there waiting to be moved our table was just avoided. We were finally moved to a table next to the hostess stand and 2 other diners that must have had the same previous table also asked to be moved. The hostess even commented to us it must be bad there tonight and shut it down. It is very congested The food and service was fine but leaving we needed a lead blocker to get to the exit there were so many waiting to be seated around the bar and narrow exit. Next time we will give the fine dining area a try.

    First time at Edwin’s and felt the wonderful old Nightown vibe had been recreated. Service attention was excellent with at least 5 servers and Brandon himself checking in on us. Food was excellent and finished off with a deliciously decadent Chocolate Pyramid. Highly recommend.
