We’ve dined at Duke’s Waikiki several times and it’s one of our go to places. After a long winding drive at night down the mountain from Westlake Village, I didn’t think the food was worth the trip. It would be nice to see the view of the ocean but not the dinner. I tried the macadamia nut crusted fish of the day, halibut. The fish wasn’t overcooked but halibut is a very bland fish. The sauce that came with it was way too salty. The broccolini was a tad undercooked but the rice with it was good. Hubby tried the bbq chicken and ribs. He said the chicken was too dry, overcooked. I tried a bite of the chicken and ribs. Glad I didn’t order that dish. His non alcoholic drink of coconut strawberry $10, was good, too sweet. The server was nice and checked on us and apologized for not knowing what brand ginger beer they carried (Bundaberg) for $5 a bottle. We will try another Duke’s later this year, hope the food is better. This place is quite large, great for big groups. Parking valet only $12 in their lot but we did find street parking right outside.

We decided to head out for a NYE dinner but didn’t want to pay an exorbitant amount. Duke’s fit the bill. Had Coconut Shrimp and Crab Wonton apps. Very good. Dinner was well received with Steamed Fish and Shrimp in Banana leaf, filet mignon, chicken and rib plate and fish of the day. Everyone said their meal was the best. Drinks and desert topped it off beautifully. We will return again. Definitely get a table at the windows.

My husband and I went for an early New Year’s Eve dinner. We went earlier than our reservation due to circumstances, and they were able to accommodate us. Our waitress was over the top perfect, and the food matched! We will be back.

Spectacular food. As good as the one in Huntington Beqch. Wonderful service. This is a can’t miss destination for my family. Second time and intend to go anytime we are nearby.

Food was ok. I expected better tiki style drinks from a Hawaiian themed restaurant/bar. I got the ribs and chicken plate and pretty much everything on the plates was a bit dry. The rice, dry, chicken, overcooked, macaroni salad, flavorless and a little dry. Coconut shrimp was alright. Cocktails were either overly sweet or just unbalanced in general. Servers/hosts were lovely but there was lack of communication a few times resulting in long wait times for both seating and placing orders. Overall, come for the ambience and ocean view.

The waiter was attentive and through, busboy service was excellent. Quality of food was fresh. Nice Hawaiian atmosphere and fair price. All dishes are based on availability of fresh fish which for us was halibut and mahi mahi

We had a great meal and excellent service. Had a table overlooking the beach but too bad it was dark out! Loved the hot pot and my husband had the steak. All delicious.

Servers and Staff are courteous and accommodating. We requested to be seated in a table beside the window and they made it possible even though it means giving us a seat for 6, when there were just 3 of us.
