This is an exceptional restaurant located in a beautiful lodge-setting reminiscent of the Dutton ranch in the series “Yellowstone”. The ambiance and attentiveness from the staff set the mood for what has been one of the best food experiences in the Methow Valley. The menu items from start to finish exceeded all our expectations. The absolutely delicious gem salad and “dancing” bonito flakes in the Brussels sprout salad to the perfectly cooked elk dish which took center stage of all our dishes. It’s a dining experience not to be missed. We’ll be back again.

Bothell
About the restaurant
The krō bär is an eclectic bar with a speakeasy vibe and a passion for spirits and great food with a nod to another era.

Tucked away on Main Street in Bothell, a walkable neighborhood teaming with local art, culture and food, the artfully handcrafted krō bär has been reclaimed from the bones of Bothell’s historic hardware store in the Mohn building. The 16-foot-high tin ceilings, a hanging catwalk and the original wood floors were uncovered and restored.

Please note we are 21 and older only.

Due to the size of our location, we are unable to seat parties of more than 4 guests.

Small and romantic we specialize in celebrations with family and friends, or just a quiet dinner with good conversation. We are family owned and operated and have been serving our community since 2001.

Drive in to Opera Alley and be transported. We strive to bring approachable food and beverage, a sense of comfort and community, as well as a unique and quality dining experience. We call ourselves a "cafe" in the sense that we are not pretentious and offer a fine dining experience in an atmosphere of comfort and respite.

Parking in Opera Alley, and downtown, can be a bit of a challenge, especially on the weekends, so please be sure to give yourself plenty of time when making reservations to find a parking space, or consider a night off from driving and get an Uber or Lift!! Eat good food often, break bread with friends and family, spend time with those you love, and we will see you soon.

My friend and I chose to try the tasting menu. Overall, the food was phenomenal. I think service was a little bit of a challenge. I found the server to be a little aggressive or a little erratic. There were times where I felt like the server was reaching over me to grab utensils or interrupting conversation with my friend that hindered a little bit of the experience. We also decided to add the wine service. I felt the pours to be okay throughout the tasting menu. All that being said, I’m really excited to come back and try more dishes.
