   The food had a smoked, charcoal taste. Not very good. My shrimp could have been shrimp jerky as it was extremely dried out. I'm not sure if the food sat under the lamp too long or if it was overcooked, but everything was dried out. I was not a fan. The place has potential, but definitely missed the mark.

   Our waiter Darryn was great he knew it was my birthday and brought me out a dessert with a candle. It was a nice touch. The food was amazing. Calamari for appetizer. One meal was halibut, carrots, and cream corn with bacon and the other meal was the surf and turf with shrimp & scallops.

   We had a lovely first stop at Devon. Food and drinks were all delightful. As two industry workers, it's always interesting to be on the other side of service as we are so consciously aware of everything going on around us. Elise did a fabulous job of reading our table and providing the perfect balance of attention/interaction throughout service. That is truly the art of serving/bartending. I never leave these reviews, but my coffee was hitting just right this morning when the email came in requesting our review :) Thanks for having us!
