Best Wineries in Ivy City

We were fortunate enough to have the legendary Wayne Anderson as our server last evening. While the experience and meal itself spoke for itself and the Capital Grille brand, Wayne was a perfect host and is a true master of his craft. Thank you, Wayne, for making our evening that much more special.

60 Vines was excellent! This was our first visit, and I definitely recommend it. Our waiter was knowledgeable and his recommendations were perfect: from the wine selections to the food pairings. The wine flight is the way to go as there are too many nice wines to choose from. We only had the shareable plates but they were all outstanding: the bacon-wrapped dates (if you think you don’t like dates, try this!); the mussels; the barratta ; and the blistered peppers. I can only imagine what the mains are like if the small plates are this good.

This was our second time in a week. The food is outstanding, as the service--very friendly, quiet, helpful, knowledgeable. The ambience is lovely. They have retained the decor of Birch and Barley, which is great. The lighting is lovely, warm and low, but bright enough to read. All in all, a great experience. Neighborhood favorite.

Our service was excellent. When we asked about the wine by the glass, he had the sommelier come to discuss the choices which was super helpful. Our dinners were excellent, both the appetizers and the mains. Their brodetto is one of the best dishes we’ve experienced in DC.
