- JJulieSan Francisco Bay Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoThere was a private event that required we be seated in a private dining room that was cozy and comfortable. Despite this huge event happening, our service by Gustavo was incredibly attentive and timely. What a warm and wonderful human being! Chef Todd Gray always manages to hire the best staff out there. They are incredibly personable, knowledgeable and caring about their work. The food is always scrumptious and top notch. Equinox is our go-to plant-based restaurant for sure. It's always a celebration of food, love, ambience, and fabulous service. We adore it there.More infoEquinox - DCPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.7

We are particularly partial to the "chef's special", a selection of appetizers and small dishes. There is a vegetarian and and meat-eater's version. Both are outstanding. The other interesting thing about Passage of India is the variety of Indian cuisines represented on the expansive menu. There is something for everyone and lots to explore. All is well prepared and nicely presented. Staff is friendly and informative. Highly recommendedMore infoPassage to India - BethesdaPrice: Moderate• Indian• Bethesda•4.8
- JJoanWashington, D.C. Area •17 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoYesterday evening we celebrated my daughter's 38th birthday at Elizabeth's- and now all of us are ready to go back tonight. The minute you walk in the door of Elizabeth's you feel as if you have been welcomed into a cosy and elegant historical home. We were greeted warmly by Elizabeth and the staff, all of whom are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and culinarily multi-talented. And the dinner experience is similar to being served a new piece of artwork with each course. Would I ever be able to replicate the Klamath Return, a kombu-marinated chioggia beet, caraway crisp and celery root, or the Cleopatra's Ambrosia, with sea buckthorn, pink banana sorbet and kinome leaf, or the Velvet Immortal with the saffron pickled enoki mushroom? Not in my wildest dreams. My family normally inhales their food, but this time conversation was at a minimum as we took time to appreciate each new amazing taste sensation. Our party consisted of one vegan, one vegetarian , and two omnivores, and all of us agreed Elizabeth's is the best restaurant in DC.More infoElizabeth'sPrice: Very Expensive• Vegan• Downtown•4.9
