I grew up in the Andersonville neighborhood and have been going to Little Madrid for roughly four years now. Although I’m Cuban-American, my family is of Spanish descent so it’s nice to experience the Spanish culture through food and music. Every time I go I am pleasantly surprised at how right at home I feel. Some of my favorites are the calamari, patatas bravas, albondigas and queso de cabra. The salmorejo soup and paella are exquisite and out of this world! Chef’s kiss one hundred times over. Do not snooze on Little Madrid Tapas Cafe, you’ll only be sorry if you do!More infoLittle Madrid Tapas CafePrice: Expensive• Tapas / Small Plates• Andersonville•4.5

We ordered a wide variety of tapas. Some things were very good, some were ok. With the chef’s background of having worked in Miami and Italian restaurants here, the menu has a delightful variety of Latin classics and fresh pasta. Our table ordered all of the above and every detail was extremely well crafted. I had the churrasco which was cooked to perfection. Staff is super friendly and hospitable. La Perla treats their guests like they’re welcoming friends into their home. Do not skip it!More infoLa Perla ChicagoPrice: Expensive• Latin American• Lake View•4.5

We had the Pig Face, String Beans, Goat Belly, and Steak. The dishes all exploded with flavors. The balance of seasonings, use of citrus, vinegar and other elements of the dishes played well and makes the culinary experience here amazing. The cocktails were yummy as well. The Peach-Te-quilla was light and refreshing. The Spicy Fat Boy had a ton of flavor. To finish the night, we had the Toffee Pumpkin cake and a neat pour of the Pappy Family Reserve. The Pappy was a treat and made a great night even more special! Thanks to Stephanie and all the team at the Goat. You are all AMAZING!More infoGirl & the GoatPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• West Loop•4.8
