- DdianeWashington, D.C. Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoEveryone at El Pirata is always amazing. We love this place and the people. The food that Chef Mario creates is always the best we have ever tasted. This is our favorite dining experience all over the world. We have been coming here for many, many years and in all our travels on the planet, it is still the best.More infoEl Pirata of MayfairPrice: Moderate• Spanish• Mayfair•4.7

- PPimLondon •8 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 13, 2024This is a wonderful Spanish establishment. In summary, the food is excellent, the wine mark up is not huge like some places, the service was very welcoming and the service charge was only 8%!!! The bar and restaurant are beautifully decorated. There is a nice tapas menu for the bar area and a more substantial menu in the restaurant. We started off with a pre-dinner drink from a good selection of wines by the glass and sherries. We had dinner in the main restaurant. The atmosphere was very refined and I can now understand why they stipulate a dress code of business casual. We both had squid for starters which was nice and the flour coating very light and crispy. For the main course, we had sucking pig and milk-fed lamb. Both were well cooked with crispy skin. My lamb portion was a bit big so I could not finish it but they were very nice and packed it for me to take home. Sadly we were so full we didn't manage to have a dessert. I will definitely be going back to this restaurant, although I might try the tapas next time.More infoHispania KensingtonPrice: Very Expensive• Spanish• Kensington•4.9
