Best Steakhouses in Quincy

My husband and I dined for a "date night" and Masons did not disappoint. We started with drinks at the bar, great cocktail and wine selection, as expected. For dinner, we tried the Oysters Rockefeller and they were to DIE for. Cody, the Somm, recommended a great bottle of wine that paired well with the app and our steaks. I had the bone in Strip and my husband had just the "regular" Strip. Both cooked perfectly and the sauces on the side were great complements. For dessert we ordered the Niveaux de Chocolat and it was truly a work of art and absolutely out-of-this-world delicious. This is a high-end steakhouse without having to drive all the way into Boston or Providence. Such a great addition to the area. Definitely one of those "special occasion" dinners or great for entertaining corporate clients. Excellent all around.

Another great meal at Abe & Louie’s, this time with the added experience of sitting upstairs for the first time. The atmosphere initially struck the perfect balance—comfortable and inviting for a special dining experience. Our waiter, Michael, was truly an experienced professional. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, embodying the type of service that elevates a meal from good to exceptional. Michael ensured everything was timed perfectly, from appetizers to dessert, and his expertise was evident throughout the evening. The food, as always, was impeccable—perfectly prepared and full of flavor. Every dish met the high expectations we’ve come to associate with Abe & Louie’s, making it a truly memorable meal. However, during the second hour of our meal, the experience was marred by noise. Several parties spilled over from the bar into the dining space, creating an overly loud and chaotic environment that detracted from the otherwise refined atmosphere. It was unfortunate and something that could have been better managed by the restaurant. Overall, it was still a very good experience, thanks largely to Michael and the exceptional food. However, the noise issue highlights an area for improvement to ensure that the dining room ambiance remains as polished as the cuisine and service.

I ordered my steak "black and blue" and it was a bit over cooked to my liking. Since sending it back stresses out my husband I decided to keep it but was none the less disappointed in part because I had eaten half of it before the server even checked on us. Had he checked on us sooner I would have likely sent it back. I am always surprised when steak houses can't get steak doneness perfected.

The service was excellent. We both had medium rare Filets. Mine was rare, my wife's was medium rare. The broccolini and truffle mashed potatoes were both delicious. The prices are high, be warned! All-in-all, a pretty good experience.
