- EElisaNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoSurprised my Husband for his birthday. Hostess greeted my Husband with a Happy Birthday, and we were seated immediately. Service was great. There were no long waits for our food. The grilled bacon and shrimp scampi appetizers are a MUST try as well as their Breakfast Whisky cocktail. Will definitely dine there again in the near future.More infoAmber Steak HousePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Greenpoint•4.7

First time was on a whim due to an unpleasant experience at another steakhouse during a previous visit. Steaks were great as were the scallops. Plenty of choices for appetizers, salads and sides. They will accommodate reasonable requests. Not as nostalgic as Peter Luger’s, Gallagher’s or Frankie and Johnnie’s but the service and steaks are as good if not better. It is a little pricy but that seems to be the norm for NYC steakhouses. Interior is more of a modern vibe with a nice open bar area and tables well spaced. Good wine list covering most desires. House choices for wines are also very good. Will likely go back again the next time we are in NYC.More infoBenjamin Steakhouse PrimePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Midtown East•4.6
- PPatrickVIPNew York City •54 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 25, 2024The dining experience here is nothing short of exceptional, with outstanding service that perfectly complements the superb cuisine. The decor and ambiance transport you to a quintessential steakhouse setting, blending timeless charm with a contemporary twist—exposed brick and a lofty industrial aesthetic set the stage beautifully. The cocktail menu deserves special praise, with the Mezcal Old Fashioned standing out as a true masterpiece—a smoky, nuanced twist on the classic that’s worth savoring. As for the star of the meal, we indulged in the dry-aged New York strip sirloin, expertly prepared to a flawless medium. The steak was a revelation, its tender richness melting like butter with each bite. Though I typically gravitate toward a ribeye, this strip was a compelling choice that did not disappoint. Every detail, from the ambiance to the culinary execution, reflected a thoughtful commitment to quality, making this steakhouse an unforgettable experience.More infoBrooklyn Chop HousePrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• TriBeCa•4.5
- MMa MilalieNew York City •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 25, 2024My group were 7 adults and a 4 yr old celebrating our traditional family Christmas Eve dinner. The staff were gracious. They were accommodating to my request that we be seated in main dining room and very attentive to the 4yr child order of her favorite crispy Calamari which is not gummy. We all agreed. She was served first! The steaks were delicious and juicy. The Branzino is cooked to perfection as well as the Grilled Octopus and the Shrimp Scampi. The side dishes of spinach, steak fries and mushrooms are so tasty. The Lobster Bisque soup is to die for. All of us agreed this the best dinner experience at Empire Steak House. Most importantly, we have the choice to order either Pre Fixed or Ala carte. Price is right!More infoEmpire Steak House- EastPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Midtown East•4.6
