Best Steak Restaurants in South Side

went here for our anniversary and was not expecting to love it so much. the service was amazing and they really pay attention to detail. the ambiance was perfect and the food really speaks for itself. we were pleasantly surprised at how authentic the flavor is to traditional korean food while fusing the american palette as well. this was the best dining experience we have ever had and we were in such good hands during the whole meal. our server gave us a great recommendation to a dive bar a couple blocks away and we thoroughly enjoyed that as well. i personally think this is the best dining experience i've had in my whole life - from the food (the sesame oil dipping sauce is perfection) to the service. my boyfriend agrees that this was the most perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. we hope we have the opportunity to come again for our next milestone anniversary.

Overall great experience. It was really busy due to Valentine’s Day weekend to be expected, so no big deal. However, during our dining experience one of the servers holding the meat was very rude. He came to the table to serve meat and was about to leave without serving my fiancé. Even though my fiancé had stepped away from the table I wanted to make sure that he was served. So when the server turned as if he was leaving I raise my hand accidentally touched the server and said I’m sorry excuse me can I have some for my fiancé also. He served it and said don’t touch me again ok. I have never had this type of experience here before and it definitely brought down the mood for the evening. I had no intention of touching anyone and even apologized because it was accidental. Overall great experience but certain staff members needs a retraining on customer service!

Friday lunch on Valentines Day right when they opened. We will be back. I walked past this place everyday when I was in grad school. I’m glad we finally went. This place smells amazing if you’re close to the kitchen. Decor is clean and neat too without feeling sterile. This is what I expect out of a place in the Sears Tower. Our server, Paulino, was great. He seemed to always check in at just the right time for drink refills or to clear plates. Great food suggestions too. The food. We both got steak frites. She had lobster bisque. I got a bonus tenderloin skewer. We got the maple flapjack cake and the s’mores cake bar. The steaks were so good you’d think the bill was going to be much higher. Fries were good. The desserts were massive, overkill for two people, and we were glad we ordered them. Our waiter gave us a heads up that the flapjack cake is already a sharing size. The s’mores cake bar was even bigger than I expected. We brought 2/3ish of each home. They tasted great. We could see taking guests there for drinks and desserts. I’d say either would be more than enough for four adults with sweet tooths. Flavors were great. I’m looking forward to eating more of the desserts over the weekend. We will be back to try more of the menu.

I just went here for our anniversary and it was an excellent experience. The food was amazing. The grilled shellfish platter was one of the best dishes I’ve had in my life. We had a little bit of a later reservation so the kitchen was closing soon after our appetizers but our server made sure to get our entree order in and did not make us feel rushed at all. He brought us out some desert and even a little toast to celebrate our anniversary. Our busboy as well noticed that our table was uneven and fixed it without being asked. Even the manager was attentive and stopped by the table to see how everything was. I will 1000% be back for the excellent service and amazing food.

Great food across the board, a bit expensive, but very, very good (excellent)!
