The restaurant is stunning, with a beautifully designed space that exudes warmth and sophistication. The staff is equally impressive—welcoming, attentive, and genuinely fun to interact with. They made us laugh and were incredibly helpful throughout the evening. The presentation of the food was equally appealing, and it’s clear that attention to detail is a priority. However, the experience faltered when it came to execution. I ordered the Filet Mignon blue, but it arrived more cooked than I had requested, missing the mark on this delicate preparation. I also opted for a lobster tail, but unfortunately, it was served undercooked. When I sent it back, I was disappointed that the same tail was simply refired rather than replaced—a surprising choice, given the $26 price tag. To add to the frustration, it came back overcooked. That said, I don’t suspect these issues are a regular occurrence. It’s possible that their top chefs weren’t in the kitchen on December 26th—a busy time of year where inconsistencies can sometimes happen. Everything else we ordered was well-prepared and enjoyable, and the ambiance made the evening pleasant. With some improvements in food preparation, Firegrill has the potential to be exceptional. For now, it’s a good spot with some room to grow.More infoFiregrill-St-LaurentPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Ville St-Laurent/Mont-Royal•4.4

Thanks for everything and thanks for being open on Xmas Eve … to help us keep our father’s tradition alive. The restaurant was so beautiful, with its stone walls and beautiful artwork. We were greeted at the front door by staff who quickly helped us remove our coats, which is rare in Montreal. Our waiter was superb...just the right amount of attention. The food was extraordinary! From the Foie Gras pate and Bison tartar appetizers, to the Beef Cheeks and Filet Mignon, you can't go wrong. I will definitely come back!More infoGaspar French BrasseriePrice: Expensive• French• Old Montreal•4.6

- BBrettMontreal / Quebec •2 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 17, 2024We had an amazing time. We learned of Joe Beef from an Anthony Bourdain special last year, and in March of this year we learned we were going to move here. We’ve been planning to go here since we arrived in August, and were finally able to make it. It was everything we hoped it would be, and we were able to try some amazing dishes. Staff are extremely attentive, knowledgeable and engaging. Definitely the first of many visits while we live here.More infoJoe BeefPrice: Very Expensive• French• Griffintown/St-Henri•4.8
