- LLouisVIPLos Angeles •27 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThis was our first time dining in this establishment. I've always heard great things about Mastro's and was excited to try their steaks. Made reservation ahead of time. Our server, Sean, was fairly new, but he was friendly and described the dishes extremely well. We ordered half dozen oysters to start, followed by a chopped salad to share. For our Entrees, I went with their Porterhouse, medium rate, and wife ordered a Pan Seared Sea Bass. She thought the fish was somewhat dry, so we talked to our server, and he was happy to assist us to swap the dish to something else. We decided to get their Seared Scallops; which was more expensive, but tasted phenomenal. My steak was very well seasoned and cooked to the right temp. We also ordered their Lobster Mashed Potatoes which was a good portion to share. It was full of flavor and tasted very buttery. Overall, experience was very good, we also ordered a couple of drinks to go along with our meal. To finish our dinner, we also ordered their Espresso Mouse Cake. It was very sweet, but was a good compliment with coffee.More infoMastro's Steakhouse - Costa MesaPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Costa Mesa•4.7

Both of us ordered the main filet mignon, one with scallops and the other with crab. Both were cooked to perfection. Had a fantastic bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from Frank Family Vineyards with it. And for dessert, the New York cheesecake with strawberries. Our waiter Jeffrey was very attentive but not overbearing and made sure we were taken care of. Thanks Jeffrey!More infoFleming's Steakhouse - Newport BeachPrice: Expensive• Steak• Newport Beach•4.5

They stored birthday cake in freezer for a few hours until it was ready to be served. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!More infoRED O Taste of Mexico - Newport BeachPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Mexican• Newport Beach•4.5
- JJessicaOrange County •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoI dined at Ruth’s Chris last night with a couple of coworkers, and while one of us had been before, it was my first time visiting. From the moment we arrived, our waiter, Chris, made a great impression. He was not only friendly but also very knowledgeable about the menu, which made our experience even better. To start, we each had an espresso martini, and it was absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we shared the spicy shrimp and calamari. The shrimp had just the right level of spice—flavorful but not overwhelming—and the calamari was crispy and perfectly seasoned. For our entrees, we all went with the filet, and it did not disappoint. I ordered mine medium-rare, and it was cooked to perfection. One of the standout features was that the steaks come out on sizzling hot plates, keeping them warm throughout the meal. The portion was generous, and the steak practically melted in your mouth. We also ordered a few sides: Brussels sprouts, lobster mac and cheese, and sweet potato casserole. Everything was fantastic, but the lobster mac and cheese was especially memorable—highly recommended. To cap off the meal, we indulged in cheesecake and crème brûlée for dessert, which were the perfect sweet finish to a fantastic meal. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with both the service and the food. The restaurant’s Christmas decorations were also beautiful, adding a festive touch to the atmosphere. If you're looking for a top-notch dining experience, I highly recommend Ruth’s Chris. It’s absolutely worth every penny!More infoRuth's Chris Steak House - IrvinePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Irvine•4.6

It was her first visit.. I appreciate that the restaurant has different seating areas that you can try out and decide which is best. Food was amazing. Scallops and Chilean Sea bass wee cooked to perfection. My son’s medium + rib eye was right on point. We both wish they would offer the Porter house option. Their cookies and cream gelato cake was a perfect ending. I believe our waitress had too many tables, therefore it wasn’t the service level i experienced on my first visit. definitely the best seafood and steakhouse. I believe in Orange County.More infoOcean 48 - NewportPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Newport Beach•4.9
