Went to the Honey Pot Lounge for drinks and small plates. Calling it a lounge is pushing it, if I am to be honest. It is about the size of a large storage closet with a couple tables, chairs and a velvet couch. There was a DJ in the small space which added a little too much extra noise forcing everyone around him to talk a lot louder than they should have to. A couple of times people were escorted in by the host and then promptly walked right back out. Which I get, cause again, the space is very underwhelming and very loud. Overall, it was a nice enough space and the food was pretty good but it doesn’t hold a light to the popular speakeasies and lounges that San Diego is known for.

Service was excellent and food was delicious!!! A great treat for my birthday from my wonderful girlfriends! Highlights were the scallops, fries with truffle ketchup, brussel sprouts, and the surprisingly tasty waitress-recommended dulce de leche cornbread dessert with vanilla ice-cream and berries! And of course the Browne Vineyards Merlot!!😁😋
