Best Southern American Restaurants in Medical Center

Food was amazing as usual !! Snapper throats OMG - to die for so much meat and the fish sandwich was gigantic!

We eat here often and the food and service are always outstanding! They had a special Valentine’s Menu that made our dinner date even more special.

The hostess was great and took us immediately to our table. The ambiance was great. The server tried but still forgot about us at times. Initially thought it was due to lack of enough staff but as the evening declined she was not as quick responding as she could have been. The kitchen seemed to be in mass confusion and the servers were having to explain or take the complaints. Orders were slow, incorrect when leaving kitchen, and not well done. The brown sugar brined pork chop was dry and not tender at all. The “bison” country fried steak was somewhat tender, not great. The mashed potatoes were, eh, just okay. The wedge salad was just okay as well. Surprisingly out of the whole meal, the collard greens were the best on the plate. The price for the meal was expensive when quality of the product is considered. If I’m paying the resort level price the food should be top notch resort level chef cooked food.

Had a a wonderful Valentine’s lunch with my sisters. Always The best food and service. I get the hummus ever time and I try not to get fried chicken every time, but it is just so delicious!
