- BBenedictSydney •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe had the $79 person set menu which had a wonderful selection from the a la carte menu - perfect introduction to Salted Egg. Impossible to name which was our favourite as they were all beautifully executed. Service was attentive. Fantastic experienceMore infoSalted EggPrice: Expensive• Asian• Melbourne CBD•4.5
- AAlexanderVictoria •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoWe chose the feed me now option, which consisted of 2 small, 2 large and 1 side. Everything was amazing and delicious, especially the Massaman Lamb curry was amazing with melt in your mouth meat. The service was amazing as well, we did not wait long for the food at all and we barely were able to finish a drink before we were asked if we would like more. Best food we had in a while! We will be back!More infoHochi Mama CBDPrice: Moderate• Asian• Melbourne CBD•4.6
- WWILLIAMMelbourne •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 23, 2024The food was SO delicious and meats expertly made. We were just a party of three and ordered $49 pp menu which consisted of two small dishes and two main large dishes (plus a bowl of Jasmine rice). We ordered for smalls the Sate Ayam chicken skewers and Sate Maranggi Beef skewers. The Ayam skewers were succulent and not dry, and lay on top of a perfect and highly addictive peanut satay sauce. The Maranggi skewers were soft not too rare but richly flavourful from the soy marinade. The mains we chose Rendang Wagyu which looked amazing in presentation (very generous serving too) it looked dense and black cooked in a dark chilli curry. It wasn’t spicy however this dish combined with Jasmine rice is insanely satisfying and filling. Still on the meat tip we ended up with the lighter Ayam Tangkap Aceh an aromatic lightly fried chicken with chilli, curry leaves and crispy pandan. The flavours infused with the rich olive oil tasted great with rice and our Rendang beef. We also had Gado Gado green been + tofu peanut dressing salad. I don’t drink alcohol but the cocktails are also yummy I got to taste my friend’s Cendol - clarified Pandan vodka, palm sugar + salty coconut mmmm the strength of the vodka was nicely offset with sweetness of sugar and that empowering distinct coconut taste. We were so full we didn’t end ordering desert. Next time. We had such a good time and our waiters and waitress were so friendly and obliging with all our requests. Will def be back again 5 StarsMore infoMakanPrice: Expensive• Indonesian• Melbourne CBD•4.7
