Best Seafood Restaurants in Northfield

This is the model for a great seafood restaurant… came here serendipitously two years ago not expecting anything.. was shocked a restaurant this good could be so far from an ocean. Returned today… hoping it was still great. It is. The staff greeted us warmly as if we were well-liked regulars. The atmosphere softly lit, with every table full, yet without feeling over-crowded. The menu just right… all the favorites.. with nice touches and specials… all fresh. Dessert offerings were solid… and maybe that best describes this restaurant… a solid 9 out of 10. It would hold its own in Manhattan, Miami Beach , Boston or LA.

Loved the view, beet salad, clam chowder, tuna and our waiter Nick. Liked the Rockfish. Sure missed the Swordfish. Finished dinner with complimentary red velvet birthday cake for our 91 year old neighbor, and 2 delicious cream brûlée . Pier W, Best on the West. We’ll be back. We ended up sitting at the bar on Christmas Eve and Tracy did an excellent job serving us. The drinks were delicious. The bread isn't as good as it used to be and also the butter. This bread is rather dry and hard and we miss the honey butter. We ordered the twin filets with fingerling potatoes and succotash. It had some strange smokey tomato sauce for the steak. We were slightly dissappointed with the meal. I was glad I asked for a side of bearnaise sauce but that was real thick too. Usually we love any of the food there but nothing was seasoned enough. The potatoes weren't good because it was just fingerling potatoes with so flavor to them. The succotash was just a corn relish. We will come back in the future but not for a good steak like we wanted to treat ourselves with for the holiday. So sorry for the bad review.

Absolutely delicious. Had the trout omg soooo good, we will be back !!!
