My best friend and I absolutely love this place! The atmosphere was cozy, and everything we tried was fantastic, but the highlight of our visit was definitely the beer bread—it was absolutely amazing! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and it paired wonderfully with our meal. To top it off, our waitress was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Quite literally the best crab omelette I've ever eaten. The ambiance and decor are pitch-perfect: not too formal, with just enough elegant simplicity to add to the overall experience. The staff are knowledgeable professionals who know how to set and serve a table. Gertrude's is my go-to when friends and family visit, or when I want a dining experience that is a cut above!

This is an excellent spot for a friends luncheon! We enjoyed bookmaker salad (spectacular), the crab quiche, fish and chips and the shrimp salad! Crab soup is very good, a bit pricey. Smith Island cake... the best! And thanks to Aislinn C. our super server! Attentive and helpful!
