Best Seafood Restaurants in Buena Park

My family and I had the best dinning experience at this amazing establishment (Ocean 48). By far, an unparalleled evening celebrating my wife’s birthday as well as my son’s upcoming birthday. The entire evenings experience was the best! Staff went above and beyond and we were highly impressed with the attention to every conceivable detail. We went to celebrate my girlfriends birthday on Christmas Day. I had made reservations in advance and asked for a romantic table for two seated next to each other. It was quite busy and we were twenty minutes early. The host told us that our table would be ready at our reservation time so we went to wait at the bar. The staff was extremely helpful and kind even though it was very busy. The host came and took us to our table right on time. I couldn’t have been happier a private table that sat four so we were able to sit next to each other. Our server Tyler was exceptional!!! He knew the menu well and answered all of our questions. We started off with the Kumiai oysters, delicious. We enjoyed our wine and warm bread and butter. For our entrees we each had the 8oz. Filet Mignon and added the Australian Lobster tail. Everything was cooked to perfection. Then Tyler brought my girlfriend a delicious dessert on the house for her birthday. We enjoyed our celebration and couldn’t have been happier.

Steaks were over cooked but otherwise good experience

This was our first time eating here. I had been at this location when it used to be Scott's Seafood. It has been renovated and the food is much better to my liking. It's all about the seafood, although they have beef too. We ordered 3 entrees... Sable fish in a spicy broth with thin soba noodles. The fish was a large portion and thick too. Scampi with parpadelle pasta. Wow, the shrimp were large and the pasta is one on my favorites with the sauces soaking all the flavors into the pasta. Cioppino was my favorite. It had prawns, salmon, white fish, calamari, clams, mussels all in the most favorable warm broth. We brought a bottle of champagne with us and they don't charge a corkage fee. Wow, can't wait to return again. The service was spot on. Our server was attentive and personable. Yum!

We have been going to Mulberry Street for 40 years, since they originally opened. Last night our meals were superb, the specials of the day were creative and delicious. For the past few years we got bored with their menu, with no creative offerings. Last night for an appetizer we had squash flowers stuffed with ricotta, and lightly fried. They were amazing! One of the specials was Maine lobster over freshly made bucatini pasta with a creamy sauce, it was outstanding! Others in our party had the eggplant parmigiana, which is always great, and the cioppino which was very well prepared with an abundance of seafood. We don’t know if there is a new chef or not, but improvements were definitely noticeable! Even the bread was better…. All 4 of us were very pleased with our meals and the wonderful service we received.
