Best Mediterranean Restaurants in Winnetka

Dined with our friends with whom we traveled to Greece recently, and who have been to Avli many times, and we agreed that the freshness and preparation of the food was almost like the “real thing” in Greece. Our waiter Demetri was excellent as well.

Il Carciofo is awesome. The service was terrific and the food was off the charts. The carbonara was the best I have ever had and the artichoke appetizer is a must. Zeppole dessert was a great way to finish a great meal. Already booked the next reservation!!

Had a nice lunch with my nephew. We were the only ones there for the first 20 minutes.

I was so happy we were able to get in last minute. We looked at reservations for tonight around 11 am, the only thing available was 9:15. Maybe 45 minutes later a 6:45 pops up and we were able to snag it. We had the short rib humus, whipped feta, hamachi, pork belly, steak & frites, fried halloumi and two kabobs. Perfect for all 4 of us hungry eaters. 100% will be back- if you can get in I highly recommend trying anything and everything on the menu. Service was impeccable. Food was courses perfectly and everything came out hot right out of the oven. If you have been to Bavel in LA you will love this “sister” in Chicago

My family and I had a wonderful time celebrating my husband’s birthday and trying new dishes! Everything was delightful. Restaurant ambience was great, not too loud, music just right, food is healthy and delicious! We’ll definitely be returning since we live in Glenview!
