Thomas Makris, from the Island of Skopelos, fell in love when he met Helen Babalos. They met at Orestes Greek restaurant in 1974, while on a Greek dancing tour of North America. Having been to PAUL takeaways at airports and train stations in France and a Paul sit down restaurant I was pleasantly surprised to see the PAUL experience not only replicated in Vancouver, but uplifted. The food was great, the hot chocolate was the traditional Parisian hot chocolate. Awesome. And of course, even though we had a lot to eat… On the way out, we had to grab a few pastries for the road.

Exceptional food and wonderful choices of beverages. The staff was great with the kids and could recognize when to check in with parents about drink options. Our server was excellent at recognizing when we needed more time, when we needed help, and who to talk to in order to minimize disruptions or interruptions. The meats and seafood were prepared to perfect finishes. Portions suggested were reasonable and the overall bill was actually quite reasonable for a meal of this calibre.
