I started in my grandfather’s restaurant & worked my way up to running one of the most successful restaurants in NYC - Patsy’s Italian Restaurant. My grandfather worked his way up in the restaurant industry in the 1930's and '40s and in 1942 opened his first Italian restaurant, The Sorrento. When it came time to name our new restaurant, we decided on IL Sorrento in honor of my grandfather. I know my grandparents & my mom are smiling down on us with approval. I've lived in Westchester since 1984 & have always dreamed about opening an Italian restaurant here .. now the dream is a reality. My family & I believe that having a successful restaurant is a simple formula - give people what they want: Good Food, Good Service and Good Value. Wonderful menu options at this cozy place where service is so nice. Gourmet food store in front in enticing. We didn’t see our waiter for a half hour at the end of the meal, but we didn’t care, as we had a relaxing time with old friends. Cauliflower bites were too spicy, but I should haves told the waiter I had a spice issue as did our guest. Burgers are wonderful but bun wasn’t soft enough for one guest. Otherwise, it’s the best burger ever, per my husband. This is the best option for dinner in Tarrytown.
