Opening their first location in the spring of 1984, Helen Babalos & Thomas Makris brought us Anatoli Souvlaki. They had a dream of combining the food of Greece with great service to add some Mediterranean style to the North Vancouver restaurant selection. They opened in the sleepy neighbourhood of lower Lonsdale and lived above the restaurant to ensure the quality and service. They were able to create a North Vancouver staple, a successful thriving restaurant based on faithful patrons and a reputation that has been passed through generations.In 2011, the family-run restaurant was taken over by their sons Alexi and Iani. In 2015, the brothers, alongside their cousin Daniel Bergman, expanded on their parent’s dream by opening The Greek in Yaletown, with a focus on mezze-style dining. Now open in Gastown. We got the best table view (table #2). First time for me to visit even though I live close by. It’s a perfect place to have a brunch with an old friend as we can enjoy everything (ambience, food, service). Good service by Nur and the team. Good value too. Will visit again soon.

We always love to go to Nammos for great Greek-style food. It is a great room, stylish and loud but not overly. The service was a bit spotty but very courteous. Food was good as usual. We were a bit disappointed about the wine offerings - nothing we wanted off the menu was available so why not just bring us a list of what you actually have rather than bring something you we might like. We accepted a recommendation for our first bottle but didn't really go with the meal and then they didn't have a second bottle. Not really acceptable. However we gave a 5 because we love the place!

What an amazing experience at Loula’s for my best friend’s birthday! We had a big group of 10 and our experience was excellent from before we even sat down. The wonderful Sierra worked some magic to fit our big table in and then the incredible Paige took phenomenal care of us all night! The food and drinks were top notch – I already can’t wait to go back. Thank you Loula’s!
