- JJessicaMontreal / Quebec •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoA true dining experience from start to finish. The service was exceptional. Peter was our main server and he was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu, what should be eaten with what, and an excellent griller. We went for a special family dinner with our mostly grown kids and it blew everyone’s minds. Worth every penny.More infoTakja BBQPrice: Very Expensive• Korean• Little Portugal / Dundas West•4.9
- CCARMELAVIPToronto / Ontario •3 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoAlways a great time at 156. The octopus dish (latest addition to the menu) was so tasty and complemented well with the soft tofu cream. Beef short ribs ssam platter - always a banger. It was their last service at the Yorkville location & it was still packed, says something about the following they have built in the past 3 years. We can't wait for the reopening in a new location.More info156 CumberlandPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Korean• Yorkville•4.7
- JJamesToronto / Ontario •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 24, 2024I don’t post reviews often, but the chef deserves a genuine compliment. The restaurant’s ambiance, experience, and food were all excellent unlike some of the reviews you may encounter. But here’s the most important part - despite the fact that the menu focuses on the fusion of cuisines, I encountered an authentic falvour of “home”, which is Korea for me. The chef is Korean who trained in Japan and aims to serve a unique Asian cuisine in the diverse and competitive market of Toronto. His maki roll “The Hot Mess” underneath its exquisitely savory and spicy sauce, I was met with the flavoured rice that took me right back to the elementary school days in Korea when I shared kimbab rolls with classmates on field trips. Thank you for a great experience and taking me on a trip back to my childhood!More infoAkira BackPrice: Very Expensive• Asian• Entertainment District•4.8
