- MSMilenaSToronto / Ontario •5 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 9, 2024Our first visit to Chotto Matte was an unforgettable sensory experience that began the moment we stepped through the doors. Greeted warmly by the reception staff, we were immediately drawn into the vibrant ambiance—splashes of color, alluring lighting, and mellow DJ beats created an atmosphere that felt both sophisticated and inviting. Our server, Alice, was exceptional, her knowledge of the menu and genuine enthusiasm enriching our experience. We chose the Nikkei Menu Deluxe ($175 per person, with an optional wine pairing) and were treated to a carefully curated array of dishes: Shishito Peppers, Yellowtail “Nikkei Sashimi,” Toro Nigiri, Dragon Roll, Jumbo Shrimp Tempura, BBQ Huacatay Broccolini, Tentáculos De Pulpo, Black Cod Aji Miso, and Australian Grade 8-9 Wagyu. Each dish was beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and executed with precision. The freshness of the ingredients stood out, while each bite offered a delightful complexity that reflected the restaurant’s fusion of Japanese and Peruvian influences. Alice took the time to describe each dish’s unique elements and frequently checked in to make sure we were enjoying every moment. Her attentiveness, combined with Hassan’s (the General Manager) thoughtful hospitality, made us feel well cared for throughout the meal, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience. Chotto Matte is a must-visit for anyone looking for a dynamic dining experience. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!More infoChotto Matte TorontoPrice: Very Expensive• Japanese• Financial District•4.8
