Best Japanese Restaurants in Bloomfield

Tao is my favorite restaurant at Mohegan. They are all great but this one is over the top! Food is great! Must have the fortune cookie for dessert!

We are regulars at another Zen restaurant. First time at Rooftop. Bartender Leslie formerly of City Steam was fantastic. Learned that the chef de cuisine, Sam, was formerly with Zen's Verdura Tapas. You don't know how compatible sushi accompanied by rice and beans can be until you've tried it. The short story is that it was a delight to spend an afternoon with such on point hospitality professionals.

We had the pleasure of dining at Mizu 21 for lunch on Christmas Day, and it was a memorable experience. The restaurant’s ambiance was elegant yet cozy, and the beautifully arranged decorations made the holiday feel extra special. The menu offered a delightful variety of dishes, the portions were generous, and the presentation was impeccable. The service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The staff ensured we had everything we needed and were knowledgeable about the menu, which helped us make great choices. Overall, Mizu 21 provided an excellent dining experience, making our Christmas Day lunch delightful. We’d definitely return to it for special celebrations or even a nice treat for ourselves. Highly recommended!

It was a busy night for the restaurant, and the staff was working extra hard to make everyone’s dining experience a positive memory. We appreciated their promptness in seating us and serving us throughout the night, thank you.

It was our first time at this restaurant however, our family members had been there before and recommended it for Christmas Eve dinner. Perfect evening!! All of the staff treated us like family and were happy to have us there. tried several sushi and appetizers. The size of the maki rolls was unbelievable and the flavors outstanding.  we had a picky eater among us and we were shocked at the things he tried and the things he liked from tartare, to foi gras and even bone marrow, so impressed.  Cocktails were absolutely loved by everyone …. Thank you for making our Christmas Eve phenomenal… we’ll be back!
