Best Italian Restaurants in Hanover

Our server Bean made our evening more delightful. She was very helpful with explanation of dishes, friendly, and efficient. We celebrated a friend’s birthday and the put a candle in the dessert. Definitely recommend Oleum for the food and service. Want to return for brunch and try the pizza.

Consistently warm and inviting, with a delicious and inventive menu. We always enjoy our dinner and our evening here. Just a great, unpretentious vibe.

Returning from about a month ago this time ravens weekend. It was six of us. We ordered an array of appetizers and all were delicious, the squash blossoms are a have to. The bread and oil were another great complement to dinner. We ordered the veal chop, lasagna, pappardelli, vodka sauce, filet. Everything was very good. We got the donut, tiramisu, lemon tiramisu, cannoli, coffees. A great ending to a good meal.

A family favorite, particularly when we are attending the symphony. This time was a quiet New Year’s Day, and we expected to relax and enjoy the evening, no rush. Unfortunately all courses arrived on top of one another. Oh well. The salad-for-the table was great, the charcuterie perfect for four, and individual plates were generous and delicious. We’ll just remember next time to tell them to slow down, that we aren’t rushing for a 7 o’clock show.

Christmas Day was made very special by Sotto Sopra. From the ambiance of this beautifully decorated 1850 building, to the wonderful staff, each with a smile to greet and serve you. But the food; that was the star of the day! The calamari was exceptional and definitely not you mama's calamari! It's a must have. And the goat cheese salad, amazing! The seafood pasta was loaded with lobster, crab and shrimp, and swirled in a luxurious sauce. The pork shank with risotto was very tasty and very filling. We ordered the the bread pudding and cheesecake to go as we were so full after our meal, and will have it this morning with our coffee. I just know both will be a great start to the day. Thanks to Sotto Sopra for making our Christmas day so special.
