Lovely menu and food. Service was slow considering it was not at all busy

We loved the alpine theme, even though it is only until the end of January. Food was lovely with big portions. Restaurant area was lovely and cosy. Staff were so friendly

When you arrive at this location, you could be forgiven for thinking you have come to the wrong place. It is very unassuming from the outside, and it's easy to drive past it and think you have accidentally turned into a farm yard / eventing location. However, do not judge a book by its cover..... Inside is very welcoming, spacious and warm. The service, from start to finish, was nothing short of excellent, and the food was the biggest surprise. It really was excellent. The menu was short, but that normally suggests that the dishes have been properly focused on and that was the case here. Each of the starters our party of eight ordered were deemed excellent. The main courses were plentiful, extremely well cooked, and great value. And the puddings were off the chart nice! I heartily recommend this place. Go on - give it a try. As a bonus, there are excellent views across the Welsh countryside......
