Best Gastro Pubs in Melton Constable

We visited on recommendation from a friend. I cannot fault anything and will visiting again soon. We had the Sunday roast and sticky toffee pudding for desert. Looking forward to trying other options on the menu.

Always very good food we normally go for Sunday lunch which is excellent with lots of vegetables all nice and hot and a choice of 4 different meats

We had a minor problem with one of our meals. The way that it was dealt with went way above and beyond our expectations. The food was amazing and portion size big. We had the crispy chilli beef and Camembert to start, followed by the Skate wing and Cajun spiced flat iron steak. The crispy chilli beef tasted amazing and so fresh, the Camembert with homemade cheese straw was delicious. I had the flat iron steak and it was cooked to perfection and so tender. The skate wing was melt in the mouth amazing. We were too full to have dessert but have had one on a previous visit and they are incredible. All waiting staff and the manager were attentive and couldn’t have done more.

One of the very best restaurants in North Norfolk in the prettiest of settings. Charming service and a great ambience. A five star experience.

Excellent meal, friendly staff, lovely pub. Definitely worth a visit and will be back
