Our aim is to be the central hub of the community, The Axe and Compasses is a traditional British village pub dating back to 1628, serving a wide and varied selection of quality lagers, cask conditioned ales, fine wines, and premium spirits.     The Red Cow is a very nice pub to visit. They always have a good choice of beer and wines. On the other hand food is either very good or mediocre. Today's Share of aubergine was a disappointment. The Fish and Chips were not what we expected. On other occasions food has been excellent. But today was not the best day for the Red Cow.

    I love this place! The ambient setting with happy customers, the friendly team who are so professional and the freshness of the food that is amply portioned and beautifully presented.     Outstanding food and excellent customer service. Our experience at the fox was fantastic- all the food was delicious and our waitress was so lovely. We had a guest with a gluten allergy and he was treated so well by staff. Our waitress made sure to spend a bit of extra time with him to point out the items on the menu that were suitable, reassuring us that the allergy was no issue to them to cater for.
