As a restaurant manager myself, I tend to scrutinize dining experiences with the precision of a food critic and the paranoia of a health inspector. That said… this place knocked it out of the park! The food? Unreal. The service? Impeccable. The atmosphere? A perfect blend of lively and cozy. Let’s talk about the seafood paella—so good it could make a grown man cry. The crispy calamari? Hands down, the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot). The meat and cheese board was a masterpiece, setting the stage for the grand finale: the Brisket Montaditos—little bites of pure flavor explosion. Every dish had me questioning why I don’t eat here daily. Our server, Ashley, was a rockstar—attentive, friendly, and somehow always there before we even realized we needed something. She kept our table pristine like she was setting up for a Michelin-star review. And let’s not forget Oliver, the manager, who clearly runs a tight ship. He and his team are absolutely killing it. Perfect spot for date night, impressing friends, or just treating yourself to a culinary adventure. I’ll definitely be back—and probably ordering everything on the menu again.

We enjoyed our Valentine’s dinner so much! Our server was Anna, and she was very attentive and provided excellent service! There was a specials menu in addition to the regular menu. We appreciated having options rather than a fixed menu as so many restaurants do for Valentine’s Day. We had the Maine oysters with spinach and Parmesan as our starter, and they were delicious! We both had the wood grilled Alaskan halibut topped with crispy shrimp and served with whipped potatoes and asparagus as our main course, and it was perfection! We ate every bite! Our dishes were all from the specials menu. We’ve eaten at Bold Monk a few times and have enjoyed everything we’ve had from the regular menu as well. Of course, the drinks are incredible too! This a a great restaurant! Give it a try!

Our first trip to The Southern Gentleman was for Valentines Day and it did not disappoint. A really great variety of options from the Special Valentines Day, fixed menu and we loved everything from our appetizers, entrees, to dessert. Unique flavors with a subtle southern style cuisine. Rarely, do you couple a high quality meal with a sizeable portion but rest assured, you won't leave here hungry. Highly recommend, The Southern Gentleman.

We ate at the bar and had a great salad and fabulous burger- both delicious! Service was really wonderful!!
