Best French Restaurants in University Heights

My girlfriend and I decided to try this place out for brunch and we absolutely loved it. Cameron was our waiter and he did a wonderful job. We like to the atmosphere the food and had a lovely time.

One of my favorite restaurants! I love the food, everything is delicious, especially the mussels. The service is great and ambience is super nice

The food was great, but we found the prices a bit high considering certain shortcomings in the service (for example, they sat us 15 minutes late, and the drinks arrived after two courses), and also the comfort of the place, being a bit narrow with high traffic around the tables (specially ours which was in the main path).

This was my first time at Mr A’s and giving full accolades. The service was as good as it gets. Rory is a veteran server with an extensive knowledge of wine, food and decorum. The whole staff did a wonder job as well. Liked the signature Old Fashion and the wine that Rory recommended. We had oysters, caviar and the lobster fritters to start. The baguette was warm and a great complement to the starters. The entrees were all loved. I had the rack of lamb that was perfectly cooked medium rare with an amazing white bean provencal. Best French onion soup in California, just fantastic. Excellent roast duck breast in huckleberry sauce with Swiss chard gratin, tremendous. Seafood cannelloni overpowered by tarragon, the herb not mentioned in the menu description — in a sign of truly great service, when my wife could not eat it the restaurant offered an alternative and did not charge for the dish. Truly superb Grand Marnier soufflé for dessert. Good wine list w mix of French and California wines. This is a great restaurant!
