Had Salmon Oscar and Duck l’Orange. Both were very good with good portions. This is an old school restaurant catering to an older crowd.

What a great way to spend the Winter Solstice. It’s 20 degrees out and we’re at Pot au Feu having a piping hot bowl of the best Onion Soup you can find in New England. Wonderful melted gruyere cheese over a perfectly sized French bread crouton with onions and a tasty steaming broth. Of course, we had our usual Pot du Chocolat for desert with coffee. Our waitress Antigone guided us through a great meal with a bottle of nouveau Beaujolais.

A lovely gem of a bistro, quiet for a near weekend evening. We both had a French onion soup that had rich flavor, great umami and was perfect for a cold night. My lamb chops were tender with a nice char to offset the sweetness of the meat, the cassoulet that accompanied was the right accompaniment instead of a starch, and my wife enjoyed her duck confit. A nice Chablis and two very good desserts finished the experience. Our server was attentive and not at all stuffy and we felt welcomed. Will go back a lot.
