Service was outstaning as well. Our maitre d’ was polite, pleasant and attentive. Both the food and the check were prompt. My husband likes to judge a restaurant besides its food and service, by its restrooms: they were meticulously clean :). We drove 90 miles to come here, and would deinitely come back again, perhaps for an overnight stay with couple of days enjoying Newport.More infoChanterellePrice: Expensive• Contemporary French• Newport•4.7
- RRaymondVIPGreater Boston •76 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWhat a great way to spend the Winter Solstice. It’s 20 degrees out and we’re at Pot au Feu having a piping hot bowl of the best Onion Soup you can find in New England. Wonderful melted gruyere cheese over a perfectly sized French bread crouton with onions and a tasty steaming broth. Of course, we had our usual Pot du Chocolat for desert with coffee. Our waitress Antigone guided us through a great meal with a bottle of nouveau Beaujolais.More infoPot au Feu BistroPrice: Expensive• French• Providence•4.7
- DDanVIPGreater Boston •16 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoA lovely gem of a bistro, quiet for a near weekend evening. We both had a French onion soup that had rich flavor, great umami and was perfect for a cold night. My lamb chops were tender with a nice char to offset the sweetness of the meat, the cassoulet that accompanied was the right accompaniment instead of a starch, and my wife enjoyed her duck confit. A nice Chablis and two very good desserts finished the experience. Our server was attentive and not at all stuffy and we felt welcomed. Will go back a lot.More infoLe CentralPrice: Expensive• Contemporary French• Bristol•4.8
