- CChrisVIPNew York City •41 reviews4.0Dined 2 days agoNice, quiet brunch spot. Mussels and French onion soup were fabulous. The breakfast American was just ok. Bacon was too thick and double-fried. No bread with eggs which I would have liked. Would return, however. Very pretty and bright interior.More infoCafe Du SoleilPrice: Expensive• French• Upper West Side•4.7

Gluten free and vegan options were excellent, thank you. Friendly, professional staff and realistic prices, I wish I lived close enough to be a regular customer at French Roast!More infoFrench RoastPrice: Moderate• French• Upper West Side•4.6
- CCarolynDenver / Colorado •5 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoLe Monde, a long-time resident of Morningside Heights, was full of festivity and rich, French food on Christmas. The pinot noir was top-notch. My guy had escargot, followed by a duck main course, and I had the salmon over spinach with a sauce I can't remember before we shared a chocolate mousse. We're glad we went early, because a lot of time for digestion was required. Our only criticism was that the guitar-player who sang wonderful tunes, mostly in French, was amplified, and we could barely hear each other. Minus the amplification, this would have been a plus, and I'm sure it was only for the holiday. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and we'd do it again.More infoLe MondePrice: Expensive• French• Upper West Side•4.6

Cozy, stylish room; attentive, friendly service; delicious food including hearty vegetable soup, wonderful, simply composed salads, and terrific fish and poultry entrees. Large portions and well priced. A lovely experience as a starter for the holiday week!More infoNice MatinPrice: Moderate• French• Upper West Side•4.6
- JJillNew York City •3 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoThis is my 2nd time here. I made reservations weeks ahead of time due to the holiday. I was only able to get outside lobby area. Upon arrival I asked if anything was available inside and they had high top bar seating available at their “seafood bar”. I was with my friend and our daughters under twenty one. Since it was freezing they wanted the inside. We had no trouble talking and the view from this spot was nice. Our server Dorji was EXCELLENT. He was very attentive to our needs and made great suggestions on drinks. We decided on the espresso martini and it was perfect. Our arrival was before 6 so the prix fix was available and you definitely get a lot for your money. The salad was okay but the French onion soup was wonderful and really hit the spot on a cold day. Two of us had the coq au vin and that was delicious. My friend had the steak and was happy. My daughter ordered the NY strip off the regular menu. She loved the fries, enjoyed the steak but said the cut was a little tough. We had crème brûlée which was a wonderful way to end the meal. The location of the restaurant is perfect if you are in town for the holidays. The place was decorated beautifully as well.More infoLa Grande BoucheriePrice: Very Expensive• French• Midtown West•4.5
