Best French Restaurants in Streeterville

Lovely restaurant and exquisite food. It’s one of our favorite “special occasion” restaurants in Chicago and it never disappoints. Not trendy, just wonderful French cuisine with traditional formality that is difficult to find these days. I would go for the dessert soufflés alone, but the menu overall is excellent!

This was my second time eating at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The food was exquisite. We had the caesar salad and I love real anchovies on this. It was perfectly seasoned and put together. I had the salmon with lentils which was the fish special and the salmon was just buttery. The lentils were al dente and just perfect with a mustard sauce. My husband had the steak and frites which was perfectly cooked. For dessert, we shared the profiteroles. The sauce on top was just divine! We already made a repeat reservation for Valentine's Day which is months away, but we want to come back.

**La Grande Boucherie Review** La Grande Boucherie exceeded all expectations! The service was impeccable: attentive, friendly, and incredibly professional. The meal began with their divine starters, and I must highlight the Niçoise salad, with its fresh vibrant flavors that set the tone for the evening. For the entrées, the salmon was cooked to perfection, flaky, and flavorful, while the broiled branzino was a standout, delicate, beautifully seasoned, and paired perfectly with its accompaniments. The atmosphere added to the experience, combining elegance and warmth. I absolutely can't wait to go back and explore more of their incredible menu.

Mon Ami Gabi is a perennial favorite, particularly for the holiday season. The restaurant is decked out for the holiday and always feels so warm and cozy. The food and service are excellent year round as well, but this is a special time to visit.

My experience at NoMi was exceptional! From the very pleasant hostess to my extremely kind and attentive waiter. The view is spectacular and my holiday meal was scrumptious! I dined alone and never felt hurried or rushed. I had the sea bass for my entree and it was delicious! My only suggestion would be considering a spirit free pairing. They offer a wine pairing to enhance your meal but as someone who does not drink alcohol, this is something I’d enjoy and appreciate.
