Best French American Restaurants in Bainbridge Island

We have eaten at the Green House many times but this is the first time we had a large party (9). for a birthday lunch. Eric was our server and he was first rate. He was very attentive without bring intrusive and the table we were assigned was one of the quieter ones near the fire place and away from the windows. We have found tables closer to the windows to be somewhat noisier. The teenagers in our party all praised the burgers they chose but the adults were more much more adventurous. Even at lunch time there is a large and varied menu and there were even some items on a special birthday menu (including items like rack of lamb). All in all, a great place for large party to enjoy wonderful food in a bright and airy place.

Tilikum Place Café offers a cozy, European-inspired brunch experience. I had the savory Dutch baby with duck and goat cheese—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. My partner opted for the eggs benedict, which was equally delicious. The warm ambiance, friendly service, and great coffee make this spot a must-visit. Be sure to make a reservation—it’s popular for a reason!

The Dressing Room restaurant is a quaint, French theater themed restaurant. Very eclectic and old world. The food was very good and well prepared and so was the Mimosa and the Pink Chai latte. 

Hands down the best sea scallops we have ever eaten anywhere. Ditto for the cod. Our server was so nice and the atmosphere was lovely -- quiet with a nice view of the marina and bay (although at night it is harder to see the view). The apple martini was a tad sweet but otherwise delicious. We shared the mussels as an appetizer and it was plenty for three, and very delicious. Our sweet teeth were amply satisfied with the creme brûlée and the bread pudding. The meal was pricey -- over $300.00 for three people including a 20% tip. But everything costs a lot more now. It was delicious and pleasant and everyone had a lovely time.
