- MMarkVIPVirginia •28 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoOur first visit to C&O in several years. It used to be one of our favorite C'ville restaurants and, after yesterday's dinner, that ranking hasn't changed. A spectacular meal. A great selection of expertly-prepared starters ("Did someone say 'sweetbreads'?") and mains. Creative cocktails and a well-constructed (and fairly priced) wine list. And an outstanding waiter who has worked at C&O for over 2 decades - a professional that makes a dinner at C&O the type of fine dining, yet relaxed, experienced that it is.More infoC&OPrice: Very Expensive• American• Charlottesville•4.9
- JJaneVIPNew York City •85 reviews4.0Dined 7 days agoThis was a 4 course wine paired dinner, with a variety of flavors and exquisite pairing with the wines. The service was impeccable, as was the atmosphere. (except for one loud person who could be heard throughout the meal). The setting was a closed in porch that was made cozy warm on a cold evening. Turkey confit with pecan-prune was phenomenal! Especially with the Cabernet Franc. The second course, groundnut sweet potato soup also extremely pleasing to the palate with the pickled peppers in it. The beef tenderloin, which I guess was to be served rare, was just about raw inside, so I had to send it back. It was fine after that and I found the apple coder bordelaise to be a bit salty. The chef came to greet us and I gave him my critique of the meal. Overall, a wonderful foodie experience. Good wine, good food, good atmosphere and relaxation. A definite point of return.More infoThe Farmhouse at VeritasPrice: Very Expensive• Farm-to-table• Charlottesville•4.9

- MMatthewWashington, D.C. Area •6 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 9, 2024The only glitch that I had at this restaurant was that they didn’t have my open table reservation. Fortunately, we were able to get a table regardless.More info1799 at The CliftonPrice: Very Expensive• Farm-to-table• Charlottesville•4.4
- PPearsonWashington, D.C. Area •2 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 5, 2024Food and service were good. Great burger and fries. Price is OK. Problem is this place is always deserted. Airlie resort and it’s amenities like Harry’s are so under marketed and I’m afraid it’s not going to survive. You’ve got to spend money to make money, and they simply do not invest in marketing this gem in our community. Sadly, the grounds are deteriorating and it appears they don’t have the funds to maintain the property appropriately. Walkways are crumbling, lighting is broken and insufficient. I hope they give this property some TLC and revive it.More infoHarry'sPrice: Moderate• Farm-to-table• Warrenton•3.9
