Best European Restaurants in Killarney / Metrotown

Excellent dinner. One dinner was a mistake when served. Corrected immediately. Offered and additional glass of wine free. Place became very busy by dessert time and was noted it was a birthday dinner. A free dessert was presented complimentary. While that dessert was slow being served due to staff shortage 2 birthday desserts were presented for the 4 of us.

Great staff all around, great service and the food was phenomenal. Drink menu is wonderful and I had a great experience at this restaurant. Definitely will return on my next visit to Vancouver. Keep shining !

Barbara is a beautiful experience of lovely staff and excellently executed dishes. As mentioned in other reviews, the space is intimate yet stylishly appointed. We wouldn’t have it any other way. In a city where one can have an endless variety of foods, Barbara manages to be quite more than a cut above the rest while remaining true to the vision of the owner/chef, Pat. Literally every single bite of our order: beef tartare, the in-house made stracciatella, the octopus, the celery root and the Arctic char and beef short rib managed to make ingredients we have had before become something special again. Be sure to order an inventive cocktail and save room for the included dessert. Ours was a Concord grape granita with maple drizzle that seemed made for each other. If you’re local or visiting this beautiful city, place Barbara on your list of “not to be missed” restaurants and make this reservations in advance. You’re in for a real treat.

Had another lovely dinner at Chaster House. Always delicious. We started with a beet salad which was incredible, and then ordered Short Ribs and the beef tenderloin, both delicious. It was concerning that there was only one other couple dining while we were there, and on a Friday night! It was empty! I would hate to lose this gem of a restaurant, but perhaps the higher prices have forced patrons elsewhere.

Wow what a pleasant surprise. We chose the Dine Out menu. The soup was very tasty according to my spouse and my salad with ahi tuna on baby Arugula and purple endive with dried rose buds(not to eat according to our server) was great. Beef Wellington was super tender. Brought half of it home! My fish was a bit overcooked but came with tender and tasty pierogies. Dessert was fine but we were so full... Really appreciated the Chef's visit to talked with us. Wonderful experience. Merci everyone at Unwind.
