Best English Restaurants in Middlesbrough

Went to Blackfriars for a wine an and tapas tasting night.m, it was absolutely delicious. The guide talking us through all of the different wine and why they were paired with the food was excellent and very well informed, so well educated on wine and could answer every question. Plus all of the food that we had was delicious, well made and beautifully presented.

Wonderful experience. Fabulous service, setting and food. No complaints. The toilets could do with being a little warmer perhaps though!

Had a gourmet experience (bought as a Christmas present for hubby). Wow! Cocktails fab, nibbles amazing, starters and mains incredibly generous. Desert one of the best ever (treacle tart). No room for our cheese course so staff kindly said we could have it next time we visit. Service here is always exemplary and having familiar faces to serve us is a bonus.

Good menu choice, varied with interesting combinations of flavours.

Fantastic night, food was absolutely stunning and delicious and we enjoyed the wine pairing too! Thrilled with atmosphere and service was second to none! Thank you Team at Peace & Loaf! We’ll be back again no doubt!
