Wow. What a lovely discovery this pub is. From the moment we walked in the place felt welcoming, with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. They have a great selection of drinks, including a rather excellent Japanese Whiskey. The food is delicious, freshly prepared, tasty, decent portions without being overwhelmingly large, I had the stacked burger which was superb, my wife had Scampi, which she said was equally tasty. The staff were super friendly, actually having time to stop for a chat, rather than just serve. Such a refreshing change to find a pub that feels like it puts making you feel welcome top of its list. Definitely one to return to.

Nestled in the picturesque countryside, the setting itself is a feast for the senses, with views of lush greenery that instantly set a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere. From the moment you enter, the service is impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, every member of the staff knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu. The ambiance is intimate, with tasteful decor that reflects the unique and eccentric taste of its legendary owner. The menu is classic dishes elevated to new heights. After a mixup with the booking as the restaurant had no record of the booking, the staff reacted well and found us a table so disaster averted. Overall, it was a very positive experience, the tables are slightly close together, but that is one of those things that maybe is just me !? Only single downside was that my fries were nowhere near hot.. but apart from that, it was great
