Best Eastern European Restaurants in Victoria

We had a perfect evening at Ognisko, as always. The kaczka (duck) is absolutely delicious, as is the cheesecake and the mulled wine (so wonderful that this is still available in January). Always a pleasure to come to Ognisko, such a great atmosphere. Will be back soon.

The restaurant is warm and cosy, full of nostalgia, the special touches such as music and fairytale stories are great too. The food is very tasty, could not fault it, complements to the chef! All in all a very warm and authentic experience!

Traveling solo I wanted a tasty Christmas dinner in a casual cozy restaurant. Bennie’s delivered on all fronts. The small restaurant was busy but not overly packed. I truly appreciate the staff who came into work on Christmas Day evening and provide a delicious meal and friendly service to their diners. I chose the 3 course dinner and asked to substitute sparking water for the champagne which they did with no fuss. The Chicken Pate was served with a wonderful fresh bread. It was savory and the raspberries provided just the right touch of tart and sweet. The Duck Breast was flavorful and the cranberry sauce again provided a nice touch to cut through the richness of the meat. Rounding out the meal I chose the Chocolate Mousse which was delicious. I’ll definitely return next time I’m staying in the area.
