Gorgeous setting. We had river views in summer there are outside tables. A stylish restaurant with a central bar area. The food was fast and delicious and had a great vegetarian selection. About 5mins walk from York Street. Really can’t recommend this place enough.

We come here at least once or twice a year for special occasions because the food is always reliably delicious. We had the garlic shrimp for appetizer, which is the ABSOLUTE BEST. The bread and garlic dip are a truly dangerous combo. We can never stop eating it, so by the time dinner comes we're usually already pretty full! My husband had the french onion pork chop (a very large-sized pork chop), I had the steak tips with egg noodles stroganoff (not typically on their menu), and my daughter had the chicken francaise (she always gets this because the chicken is so tender and the sauce is so tasty). Our waiter was super friendly and humorous. The interior of the restaurant is usually plain, but at Christmas is always festively-decorated.

This place is such a gem - from the moment you get to the door, you can tell Cafe Mars is not your typical restaurant. The decor is colorful and vibrant; it just screams "walk in here and get ready to have a great time". The staff are warm, entertaining, and knowledgeable. I have had nothing but 10/10 service on all of my visits here. And of course, the food is fantastic. Chef Paul truly works wonders here. Run, don't walk to Cafe Mars!

My boyfriend and I had the best time at 16 Prospect last night! Joe Regan lead an open mic that was fantastic! I sang along with some amazing vocalists and the place was so festive and lively. It was an awesome night. The food and drinks were delicious. The servers were attentive and cheerful. It was so much fun.
