Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in Kensington

They play the music too loud on weekend nights. We got tired of shouting at one another so we just stopped talking.

If you want an excellent Italian dinner with outstanding choices, this is the place. From the welcome afforded upon entering until you leave, you will feel like the most important diner. The chef takes what can often be bland (octopus and branzino) and turns them into tasty delights. If you have the opportunity, you should go here at least once - to start!!

The ambience is Italian, but the food--mashed potatoes?--hardly seems Roman.

The servers were excellent. The pasta meals were lacking. The Cacio e Pepe was too dry and not anything like it was supposed to be. It needed more liquid to make it creamy. The other pasta was just ok. It was supposed to have eggplant, but it was almost non existent. It had only a few very small pieces. The Cheese Wheel meal was excellent! I would have that again.

We went to Nolita Hall for dinner, after having their brunch, which was really good. We had the focaccia with burrata appetizer then ordered the hot honey pizza, nidi pasta & pork belly bites; all were delicious.
