Best Contemporary French American Restaurants in Kips Bay

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at OIFLTIBS. My 91 year old mother has lived around the corner for 64 years and we’ve been to the restaurant off and on for special occasions over the last 40 years. The food was delicious and the service was fabulous from Hosts at door to our great Server Fernando to the table buss people. All so nice and very attentive. It’s a beautiful restaurant and felt very festive and special. Thank you so much.

Have family in from Ireland and so we made a reservation for 5:45 for 5 people with various tastes in food. We had the most delightful patient waitress great disposition, happy to be there !!! That says a lot right there. The girls had a special cocktail that they just loved, we had a few questions about the menu and our waitress was confident in her answers ! Also a huge plus. We had just excellent service, delicious food a warm comfortable atmosphere and it restored our faith in good service ! A time when people were happy to be at work and confident in the food they were delivering ! I think that all shows a great Team effort ! Their was a younger hostess that seemed to miss the memo, but we didn’t let her energy bring us down

Had a great dinner and great drinks! When we first got there our bartender was fantastic! Great drinks- checked on us, got our dinner- delish- had the steak and avocado salad and the local burger- was very good! Then we got a new bartender- was wiping sweat off his head and touching the glasses - not good!! Overwhelmed and unattended

Great wine list and very professional wine service. Food is creative and authentic at the same time. Great overall experience

This was a very delightful stop last night! The vibe was great and I loved the decor. The server was friendly and helpful. She recommended an upsell that was great with the tuna caviar tartare. Drinks were well made and tasty. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you’re in the neighborhood for an appetizer and a drink.
