- LLizVIPHouston •10 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe sat outaide since it’s quieter and the weather was nice. Water and bread arrived quickly. We ordered the shrimp and deviled eggs; two of our favorites. I tried the pasta for spoiled children and it was delicious. Super rich but full of flavor and creamy. We also had the cheeseburger which comes with delicious fries and a side of asparagus. It was perfectly prepared and vanished in moments. We were sadly too full for dessert. We will be back.More infoBrasserie 19Price: Very Expensive• French• River Oaks•4.8

I highly recommend anyone interested in afternoon tea to have it at Emma Jane's!! I have had tea at the Granduca and at the Saint Regis. I like this afternoon tea the best. - GGeorgeHouston •4 reviews4.0Dined on Dec 25, 2024We were a party of 5. We got a nice quiet table in the sun room. Service was attentive. Steaks and red snapper were well prepared and had good taste and texture. I could have done with more sauce vierge on the snapper. The sides were okay but not great. Asparagus (and Bearnaise sauce) lacked much flavor, the pomegranate molasses dressing on the brussels sprouts was a little powerful, the gnocchi came off as pan-fried mashed potatoes. The onion soup was a disappointment - rather sweet, not much flavor to the broth, mushy. Other members of our party were less critical than I was and quite enjoyed their meals. Except the eldest, who usually complains about all the food. :-) All in all, I feel like I should have sneaked in some seasoned salt to perk things up.More infoTonight & Tomorrow at La Colombe d’OrPrice: Expensive• French• Montrose•4
