- LLindaGlasgow/Lanarkshire •4 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoThe ambience and service are always good. The soup however could have been warmer while the gluten free options were very limited. Restaurants and chefs need to be aware that gluten free does not mean vegetarian! The soup should have been served with bread but no gluten free bread was provided or offered. My friend was impressed with her non-gluten lunch.More infoThe Ivy Buchanan Street GlasgowPrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• Glasgow•4.5

I have been to an Ivy restaurant before in Windsor on my last trip to the UK but I don't remember it being quite this good. The food was extraordinary, service impeccable, and because I was by myself, I was able to observe the staff and how they operate. It was so fascinating watching such a well-oiled machine. I used to work in hospitality and it was a delight to watch. Mimi was incredible and so wonderful to chat with, she even picked up that I was Canadian, not American. The dessert was to die for as well. The whole experience really made my day. Not to mention the decor of The Ivy is just incredible. Even the bathroom was amazing. Highly recommend this chain if you are ever in UK, they have many locations to choose from. Cheers.More infoThe Ivy on the SquarePrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• Old Town•4.4
- JJamesEdinburgh/Midlothian •1 review4.0Dined 2 days ago1st class cocktails and excellent courses but, unfortunately, tempered by a loud screaming child. I'll never understand a proper cocktail bar as this is, welcoming families with buggies and loud children. It's never made sense to me. Nonetheless we'll always get here to sample the cocktails. They're 2nd to none.More infoThe Voyage of BuckPrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• Edinburgh•4.7
- CCraigEdinburgh/Midlothian •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoDinner out with my son. Real mix of other diners: couples, adult friends and families, all enjoying dinner, but nobody noisy. The menu is seafood oriented, which suited us perfectly. It is a tapas menu, with a couple of main meals for those that prefer. We had gochugang chicken, mussels to share, tiger prawns, clam spaghetti and sea bass tostada. The chicken was crispy and spicy. The mussels were superb. Tiger prawns will always be messy, but delicious. The pasta was subtle after the heat of the mussels and chicken. Sea bass was unusual served on veg and tostada, but very tasty. Would highly recommend.More infoRogue Bros at the BoathousePrice: Expensive• Scottish• Queensferry•4.7
