- TThomasIndiana •2 reviews4.0Dined 2 days agoThe food and drinks were outstanding. I had a wonderful seat by the fire that created a cozy atmosphere. There were plenty of other guests, but the nose level was minimal and it never felt cramped. Despite how busy it was, the food came out quickly and was well prepared and plated. My server, Heather, provided fantastic service. Will definitely be returning.More infoThe Whiskey SixPrice: Expensive• American• Detroit•4
- OTOpenTable DinerGrand Rapids / Western Michigan •5 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe were seated at a high top for 2 people that overlooked the kitchen. My wife and I are average sized humans and we felt the table was a little cramped for shared plates, but this was the only negative thing to say about our evening. The service was outstanding with napkins, plates, and cutlery replaced with each course. The restaurant was filled with conversation and some fun music, about what you would expect with shared plates being the main theme. The drinks were great, the view from our table was superb. We had a look in on the open fire grill and the stone oven while also being able to watch the bartenders put on a show making cocktails. Food was top notch and came out spaced perfectly. We had the beef tartare, Carrots, octopus, and duck. This was an excellent date night, anniversary meal (if you’re ok with loud) or a great double date, I think 4 people here fits the menu size for their shared plates pretty well.More infoSelden StandardPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Detroit•4.8
- PPamvipDetroit / Eastern Michigan •5 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoLoved Lumen! I’ve been past this place and even participated in events in the space right adjacent to the restaurant, but had never been here. The architecture of the ceilings and windows with the reflections, etc makes you feel like you are on the water at night. The green curry mussels were bright and perfectly seasoned! I savored every bit of the curry sauce and asked our server if they sold it by the bottle!!! We also had the walleye, pork belly and a side of perfectly charred asparagus. Dominique was attentive and personable… Will def go back to try the lamb chops and other interesting things we saw on the menu!More infoLumen DetroitPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Detroit•4.6
- TThayerSan Francisco Bay Area •7 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 13, 2024Food was amazing. Parking in the underground lot with free validation was lovely. My 50 year old ears thought the music played was ok. My 20 year old daughter liked that it wasn’t “stuffy.”More infoThe Statler French American BistroPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Detroit•4.4
