Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Fairmount

Overall we had a great experience. The service from all angles (hostess, server, server support) was spectacular! The food presentation and quality was excellent, however my short ribs with polenta was served lukewarm. Regardless, we will definitely return.

Unique and exquisitely prepared menu. Very attentive and personable staff. My wife and I thought we'd be sensible and split a salad and a sandwich from the weekday lunch menu; both were stunning. The Pear Salad (Red Wine Poached Pear, Point Reyes Blue Cheese, Candied Walnuts, Castelfranco Radicchio, Frisée, Ice Wine Vinaigrette)...enough for two by itself. Also split the Autumn Grilled Cheese sandwich (Apple Maple Bacon Jam, Fontina, Brie on Whole Wheat)...perfectly assembled and toasted. Oh, and the sandwich comes with Choice of Simple House Salad, French Fries or Old Bay Potato Chips. So for us, fries! A menu full of wonderfully hard decisions, all with floor to ceiling glass windows looking out over the pond and park and architecture of The Modern.

Lonesome Dove was excellent, staff was very helpful in selecting food and drinks that paired well (and is within your budget). If you are in Fort Worth, this is a western fine dining experience you must try!

Ordered crippled chicken tacos. The ambience was great, server sweet, white rice was delicious and as for the tacos great , the only thing after getting cold were to gummy to eat were the corn tortillas. Not sure if they were just over cooked or heated.

Food is fantastic. Cocktail drinks not so much. Watered down and glasses very small. Our waiter was awesome and on point with service and very courteous.
