- LLauravipSan Francisco Bay Area •25 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe went to Coqueta to celebrate my niece's birthday. They were not very busy mid-day on a Thursday. Service was exceptional, attentive, helpful, simply lovely. My favorite dishes were the steak, patatas bravas, boquerones, octopus, the beet and kale salads. The Manchego with grapes, grape must jam (?) was delicious, as well as the croquetas de jamon. The cocktails were great. I had one of the gin and tonics (Balta?), and heard good things about one of the Margaritas and the white wine selected by my sister. The Catalan style vegetables with nuts and raisins was good, but I am used to spinach instead of broccoli and would have preferred that. The Marcona almonds were fresh, but very salty. Their menu has something for everyone, though it was a challenge to accommodate the preferences of an 11 year old grand niece who does not like seafood, mayonnaise (aioli on croquetas and by patatas bravas. Look forward to returning.More infoCOQUETA - San FranciscoPrice: Very Expensive• Spanish• Financial District / Embarcadero•4.7
- JJimSan Francisco Bay Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoTonight was our first time at Mr. Tipples, but it certainly won’t be our last. Nick Rossi and his jazz ensemble, THE JAZZOPATERS: AND ELLINGTONIA UNIT are all first class jazz musicians, and their take on Duke Ellington’s music was spot on. The venue has the classic small nightclub ambiance, and delicious dim sum options and great cocktails are served by great wait staff.More infoMr. Tipple’s Jazz ClubPrice: Moderate• Cocktail Bar• Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness•4.9

- MmelanieSan Francisco Bay Area •8 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 13, 2024my girlfriend is here for work for one week and she was craving pasta. while getting ready i opened up the open table app and did a search for “italian restaurants” - tosca cafe was the first option so i chose a 7:15pm reservation. i jumped in my car and drove over to the city from oakland and picked my friend up in union square. we quickly found parking nearby and rocked up to tosca. not quite sure what to expect, we found this cozy dining room with candles on each table and an inviting service team. our waitress was sylvia and she was THE BEST! we started with calamari and caviar pillows. sylvia recommended the parpadelle bolognese and the bucatini and they were both a hit! the atmosphere is very cozy and old world. there was also live music playing. my friend and i thoroughly enjoyed our time at tosca cafe. thank you to the gentleman at the front desk for the nice table we really appreciated it.More infoTosca CaféPrice: Expensive• Italian• North Beach•4.6
